The Highland Book Prize was established by the Highland Society of London in 2017 and is facilitated by Moniack Mhor, Scotland’s Creative Writing Centre. It seeks to celebrate the rich and diverse literature that is produced both in, and about, the Scottish Highlands and Islands. The longlist is formed from the scores and reviews of a volunteer reader panel, making this a readers’ prize at its heart.
